I am Ashwath Ram, an actor based in LA and Chennai. I love bringing a lot of worldly cultures into my performance practices. I have just completed my MFA in acting at CalArts this summer. I had started this journey with the Tamil film Nandhalala (2010) with director Mysskin. Then I finished my undergaduation from Anna University (CEG), Chennai in Agricultural and irrigation engineering. Then After a lot of introspection I realized and then decided to pursue my passion which is Acting.
I am Someone who is trying to embody depth, ambition, and sophistication, moving beyond the superficiality. More than that, I want to serve as a beacon of hope for anyone who looks like me, anybody who feels they’ve been defined by what society thinks they should be. My ultimate goal is to make the audience forget themselves and be completely immersed in the art that I create. I find Joy when they are entertained.
